Tamara (Tammy) MacDonald
Tammy MacDonald, Investment Advisor Representative with United Planners Financial Services, sees herself as a financial designer—crafting individualized solutions and integrating creative investment strategies to help clients reach their unique financial goals. She prioritizes education and encourages clients to be active participants in the financial planning process.
Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Tammy was raised in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. her financial career began early—as a high school bank teller. After earning her business degree from Marquette University, she advanced through various customer service roles in banking, eventually obtaining her Series 7 licenses while working at the traditional brokerage firm, Frederick and Company.
Eager to apply her market knowledge, she became a financial advisor at Firstar Bank (now U.S. Bank). In 1995, Tammy earner her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and left banking to launch an investment program at a credit union. Inspired by a desire to serve clients independently, she partnered with her husband, Shawn MacDonald, to co-found Skye Financial Services, Inc.
Tammy holds Series 6, 7, and 24 licenses, along with state insurance licenses.
She and Shawn live in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, and love to travel—her favorite destinations include Sanibel Island and Scotland. At home, she finds joy in her perennial gardens and cherished time with her wonderful kids and grandchildren.
